We want to do everything in the name of Allah the Almighty during this blessed month of Ramadan, which is approaching us very soon. Ramadan is a month of fasting and spiritual development. Muslims who are blessed with good health and capability to restrain themselves from eating or drinking anything from sunrise to sunset every day for a month.
Besides additional prayers, Ramadan is a month in which charitable acts are highly recommended. This is because every good deed performed during Ramadan by giving Sadaqah or Zakat is rewarded 70 times and the night of Laylatul Qdar is equivalent to having performed the same act every day for over 83 years Subhan’Allah.
Ummati Relief Foundation is preparing to provide support to the orphans, widows and much needy families during this blessed month of Ramadan. With the help of generous donors, we were able to distribute ready made meals and food parcels to people in need last year. Our nutritious supplies have enabled families around the world to participate in Iftar and Suhoor together for a month without worrying about where their next meal will come from.
We will be working on many projects this Ramadan Insha’Allah in places like Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania where people are suffering being oppressed and pleading for help.
Through increased worship, good deeds, and social gatherings during the blessed month of Ramadan, we have the chance to amass mercy and rewards. Suhoor and Iftar are times when many underprivileged people around the world struggle to eat. This Ramadan, your generosity and kindness can win people over with your love.
Preparing for Ramadan 2025
As Ramadan 2025 draws near, it is important to begin your preparations by contributing Zakat, Fitrana, or Sadaqah to Ummati Relief Foundation. Your generous donations will play a crucial role in ensuring that this sacred month is filled with joy and relief for those who are less fortunate.
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stated, “The best charity is that given in Ramadan.” (Al-Tirmidhi 663)
In anticipation of Ramadan 2025, it is vital to prepare both spiritually and financially. Taking time to reflect on your intentions, organizing your Zakat and Sadaqah contributions, and fulfilling your Fitrana obligations will enhance your experience during this blessed period. Regardless of the amount you give, your contributions can transform lives and yield significant benefits.
By engaging in charitable acts, you not only invite more blessings into your own life but also create a meaningful impact on the lives of others, particularly during the last ten nights of Ramadan when the rewards are amplified.

Iftar Appeal.
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “Whoever feeds a fasting person will earn the same reward as him without diminishing in any way the reward of the fasting person.” Iftar Appeal
Every Ramadan, millions of people go without food and are unable to fast for various reasons. By contributing to our Iftar Appeal, you can provide the relief that the poor and suffering were looking for this Ramadan. They are unable to afford food.
According to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), whoever feeds a person who is fasting will receive the same reward as him without in any way lessening the reward of the person who is fasting. Donate today and receive a reward for fasting without actually fasting.
Zakat.
One of the Five Pillars of Islam is Zakat, which is a yearly Islamic duty. Zakat is an obligatory act of worship for all Muslims; it is not an option. It is an action in which one donates 2.5 percent of their annual savings to those in need. Our aim is to deliver to disaster stricken countries and those really in need will receive emergency relief and life-saving assistance from your Zakat.
Zakat-ul-Fitr.
Fitrana is a compulsory donation which allows every Muslim to be fed on the day of Eid. Ummati Relief Foundation will make sure the people who need it the get it before Eid. The Prophet (SAW) ordered that Zakat-ul-fitr must be paid before the Eid prayer and must be given on behalf of all members of the family including children and the elderly Donate £5 per individual today and fulfil your obligation.
Fidya.
If you miss a fast in Ramadan for reasons out of your control such as travelling or being ill, then you must pay Fidya. The current Fidya amount is £5 to feed one person, per fast you miss then would need to pay £150. Make sure to pay this amount as soon as possible insha’Allah.
Kafara.
If you deliberately miss a fast in Ramadan without a valid reason, you must pay charity which is also called Kafara, feeding someone twice a day for 2 months. If you’re paying to feed 60 meals for missing a fast deliberately, then the donation would be £300 at a rate of £5 per person, which is the cost of an average meal in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Turkey.
